Muzyki (2011)

'Musics' is a record assumed with devil's power of soul sold at the
crossroads, choking with laughter, longiness, tears and alternation of
morning and night. These sounds are drawn out from the background of
archival photographs, where folk dances are alternated with
lamentation and singing about irretrievable era.

'Musics' is a new artistic project of the gitarist Michal Zygmunt ,
who while searching for his roots reached for traditional tunes, old
forms and rhythms. The producer of the record is Roli Mosimann
(Faith No More, Bjork, The Young Gods, The The, Smashing Pampkins,
Swans, New Order). The combination of expressive composition of Michal
Zygmunt, built on folk harmonies, with independent conception of
Swiss producer resulted in creation of an album that shows beauty of
the folk music in an uncompromising and brave manner.

Organic (2010)

The Organic album represents a new stage of the musician’s quest. It combines a rough tone of acoustic guitars with an intense love to the world music. The music on this album expresses the consciousness of origins and is very modern at the same time. As a result, it completely changes the contemporary perception of the acoustic guitar in Poland and heralds the emancipation of the guitar as a solo instrument. The album contains 14 premiere original compositions and two standards. Przemek Jarosz, an excellent drummer, took part in its recording. The album was recorded in November and December, 2009 in studios in New York, Wrocław/Poland and Acquapendente/Italy.

Światy (2008)

The Światy album (The Worlds) contains original compositions that derive from the European jazz tradition. The album was recorded using acoustic guitars only, but they were treated in an untypical, masterly manner. Michał’s play is a mix of fingerstyle with a type of ethnic jazz and has its roots in the Gypsy and African cultures, as well as flamenco. Not many musicians choose a similar way and take the challenge of a lonely journey. The album goes beyond the strict definition of jazz, and the link is improvisation.
